I am running ff5 and bloody red 4.0.13.03.11 on win7 pro 64bit.
The issue is that the three buttons that are typically in the top right of the ff screen for closing the window, etc. are not there in regular viewing mode. They only show up in full screen mode. I have also tried dark orange 4.0.29.03.11 and have the same problem. If I use redish 1.1(a different theme) or the default theme the buttons are there like normal. Also, the addon/extension icons that are normally below the close button are crowded off the screen/overlapping each other. E.G. even though I can see the Home icon I cannot get to it. Clicking it opens fire bug. Please let me know if you need more info.

Images are broken.I can't see the problem.First FF says that the connection is untrusted.I added an exception but the image won't load.Upload your images on this site http://imageshack.us/ and put links.This one works.

Yup there's a problem with firebug.Anyway I've fixed the problem.It should be fine now.Download the update from here CLICK

Any way I've got the file and the addon icons are working. Thanks for the fix.

Is there any thing I can do to fix the close/minimize icons in the upper right corner? If I push my mouse cursor all the way to the top right edge of my screen, I get the tool tips for the icons but not the icons them selves. If you look at my screen shots, the BR shot shows no 'X' icon to close ff. The other icons are missing too. That was actually the main reason for my initial post. At this point, there is no way to minimize ff and to close ff I have to go through the ff menu to exit.

The minimize,full screen and close buttons look fine.Perhaps there's a conflict with an extension.Disable all your extensions.If the problem is gone enable them one by one and see which one is causing it.

I disabled all extensions and there is still no minimize, full screen, or close button. If you look at the images I posted you will see that they are there in the other theme but not in your theme. Perhaps this error is specific to my combination of OS and Browser. I don't know anything about theme development except that themes seem to be css and js driven. I'm pretty good with css and basic js so perhaps I could track down the problem if I had the right tools and a place to start. Is there a tool or software that you use to develop themes? How about a list of what css classes, id's, etc affect what? Anything you can offer would be appreciated and I'll be glad to pass on anything I find.

Yup themes are css based.They are made of css documents and images.The things you need are winrar or 7zip,text editor and image editor.I'm not sure but back in the days(6 months ago or something like that) there was a problem with glass in windows 7.The buttons did not appear.This was a bug in Firefox 4 and another developer found a solution.We all placed his code in our themes to fix the glass bug in windows 7.I'll remove that code and you'll have to try if it work.I think the problem is there but I don't have the money to buy windows 7 and test it.A couple of months ago I made a post about looking for testers but unfortunately there was no answer.

I'd be happy to test for you, especially if I can learn something about ff theme design in the process. I have all of the tools you mentioned and I have looked around the theme css files. EG I changed the url text color to white to make it easier for me to read. My trouble is identifying which css tags effect what within firefox. Some are obvious to me but some are not. In any case, I'd be happy to test for you as I can. I have a win 7 pro 64bit system and am running ff5 for my main comp and ubuntu 11.04 running ff3.6 but will be upgrading soon. I also have a few other boxes with various configurations that I use for testing my web apps. I cannot offer money for support but I can offer my labor. Glad the fix worked.Some tags are obvious and you just have to mess around with others to see what they are for.That's the hard part of making a theme.If you pass that it's not that hard cuz Css is a simple language and now Css3 saves a lot of time and effort.
